The overview page is the starting point for creating your press review. After purchasing articles in MediaMonitor, they will automatically appear in the left column. In the right column, you can see a preview of your press review.
Sorting articles
Purchased and not yet sent articles automatically appear in the left column in the order of purchase. You can sort the articles by dragging them with your mouse.
To speed up sorting and moving, you can also select multiple articles at the same time. Select the first article using your mouse. Then click on the last article with your mouse while holding down the “Shift” key. All articles between the two clicked ones will be highlighted. Alternatively, hold down the control key (Windows: “Ctrl”, Mac: “Command”) while clicking to add individual articles to your selection. A small orange circle will display the number of selected articles. Subsequently, you can move the marked articles using your mouse.
Categories
Note: Please be aware that creating and using categories is exclusively included with the Premium product package.
Categories are used to group articles in your press review. If you work with categories, your purchased articles will be automatically sorted into the “Miscellaneous” category. From there, you can use your mouse to sort the articles into categories you have created. (For selecting multiple articles, see above.)
Click on “Create category” below the article list of the current press review to create a new category. This will also be available in future press review templates.
By clicking on the pencil icon next to a category name, you can change the category name.
Automatic categorisation
Note: Please be aware that automatic categorisation is only included with the Premium product package.
Purchased articles from saved searches in MediaMonitor can be automatically sorted into categories. This saves you the hassle of moving purchased articles manually. If not already available, first create one or more saved searches in MediaMonitor. Subsequently, create a section in Press Review Manager and assign a name. Click on the pencil icon to edit the section. In the “Automatic sorting” section, select a saved search from MediaMonitor. Now, all articles that you find through this saved search will be automatically sorted into the chosen category after purchase. Note: If you have just created the saved search, it may take a few minutes for it to appear in the “Automatic sorting” section.
Press review preview
In the right column, you can see a preview of your press review as it appears in the online reading portal. The preview is prepared per article. Click on an article in the left column to view the preview. Click on “Overview” to view the table of contents and edit the title. The table of contents is automatically generated according to the order of the articles given.
To view a preview of your press review as a PDF, click the “PDF preview” button at the top right.
Article components
Note: Please be aware that the inclusion of article components in the press review is exclusively available with the Premium product package.
Switch to the article preview from the “Article components” tab. Here is where you can manage how the components you purchased with the article are shown. Choose the photos you would like to be shown in the press review. You can select a main photo, which will then be shown at the top of the overview page of the online reading portal as well as at the top of the article. Additional photos will be shown below the article content. You can also choose whether your purchased article components such as original layout, full page or clipping should be included in the press review.
In the comment box, you can write a comment on an article. This will be displayed in the table of contents as well as at the beginning of the full-text view of the article.
Adjusting the cover page
If you want to customise the cover page for the current press review, click on “Overview” in the left column. At this point, you can also insert a self-written comment to your recipients.
If you want to permanently adjust the cover page, visit the “Press review template” section. Further up in the section “Sort articles/categories”, you will learn how to change the order of the articles in the press review.
Validity
The indication “Days” shows how many days remain during which you are allowed to process an article in a press review and distribute it to your recipients. After the end of this period, an article is no longer available in Press Review Manager, a press review PDF with the corresponding article can no longer be downloaded, and the article will no longer appear in the press review on the online reading portal.
Send/read press review
If you are satisfied with the preview of your press review, click on “Send press review”. This will send your press review via email to the recipients you have stored in the “Manage recipients” section. The email contains a link to download the press review as a PDF, as well as a link to read the press review online. To read the press review online, your recipients must independently register on the online reading portal. Your recipients can also access the registration page via the link in the email.
