Reusing or licensing articles from the last 28 days

Activate the “Show purchased articles from the last 28 days” switch to show the list of articles you acquired in the past 28 days. This list also includes articles that you have created yourself using the “Create article” function. You can apply filters to the list to find articles more quickly based on filter criteria.

The articles are grouped by day or week. Click on the group headers to display or collapse the articles.

Reusing articles for the same recipient group

All articles can be reused in additional press reviews, such as a weekly press review, during the remaining licence period – for the same recipient group as at the time of purchase. To do this, click on the add icon or drag and drop the article into the press review.

Licensing articles for other recipient groups (orders)

If you want to license the articles in a press review in order to send them to a different recipient group than the one used at the time of purchase, go back to MediaMonitor. There, you can change the order. In the new order, you can switch back to Press Review Manager. The articles in your press review can now be licensed for the new recipient group before you send out your press review.

Note: Please be aware that the multiple use of articles for other recipient groups is not included with the Basic product package.

Creating an article 

Note: Please be aware that creating and embedding articles that were not purchased in MediaMonitor is exclusively included with the Premium product package.

In addition to the articles purchased in MediaMonitor, you can integrate your own articles from your own media into your press review. To do this, click on “Create article” in the left column. Self-created articles must be licensed for distribution to your recipients just like articles purchased in MediaMonitor.

PMG rights

Select “PMG rights” if you want to license an article from a media that is also available in MediaMonitor. An example is a scan of a newspaper clipping. If the article contains photos, activate “Purchase photo rights”.

Own content (royalty-free)

Select “Own content (royalty-free)” to insert your own article into the press review. Examples include articles or press releases written by yourself.

Own content (Section 49) 

Choose “Own content (§ 49” if you want to distribute articles created under the regulations of Section 49 of the German Copyright Act (§ 49 UrhG). These are usually articles from media that are not available under “PMG rights”. If the article contains photos, activate “Purchase photo rights”.

Then fill out all the boxes of the form and click on “Create article”. The article will be added to your press review. Before you can send the press review, click on “License articles”. Licences are purchased in this way for the article types “PMG rights” and "Own content (§ 49)” via MediaMonitor.

Self-created articles are retained in your article archive (“Articles from the last 28 days”) for 28 days and are then deleted.
